1. Result Day to Cadre Notification

The moment your roll number appears on the final BPSC selection list marks the culmination of years of rigorous preparation. Within 3 to 4 weeks of the result declaration, the General Administration Department (GAD) issues formal nomination letters and initiates the onboarding process.

2. Document Verification & Medical Board Examination

Shortlisted candidates report to the designated administrative headquarters for thorough document verification (original degrees, matriculation certificates for age proof, caste/income certificates).

Candidates then appear before a State Medical Board at PMCH or IGIMS Patna for comprehensive health checkups (vision tests, cardiovascular evaluation, and general fitness).

3. Character and Antecedents Verification

The Special Branch of Bihar Police conducts official character and antecedents verification to ensure clean legal records and absence of criminal proceedings.

4. The BIPARD Foundation Course Experience

Officers report to BIPARD (Gaya / Patna) for the institutional Foundation Course. The curriculum includes classroom lectures on Bihar service codes, financial administration, disaster management, field trekking, yoga, physical training, and cultural exchanges.

5. District Attachment & First Independent Posting

Following institutional training, probationer officers are attached to district collectorates to shadow experienced District Magistrates, ADMs, and SDMs, learning revenue court management, election conducting, and public grievance redressal before receiving their independent charge.
